Meet Alanna
Amara Skin Clinic is led by Alanna, a Registered Nurse with eight years of experience in the hospital system. After moving into cosmetic nursing, she found a way to bring together the clinical care she loved with helping people feel more comfortable and confident in their own skin.
When the opportunity came to purchase the clinic where she was working, Alanna made it her own. Amara Skin Clinic was built as a welcoming, nurse-led space where honest advice, genuine relationships and personalised care come first.

Yes. For cosmetic injectables, a consultation is required before treatment. This allows Alanna to discuss your goals, review your medical history, assess suitability and explain the available options.
Consultations can be held in clinic or via telehealth. If treatment is suitable, an appointment can then be arranged.

On the day of your appointment, try to limit caffeine, eat a balanced meal and drink plenty of water. Please arrive with clean skin where possible and be prepared for clinical before photos to be taken for your medical records.
Let Alanna know about any medications or supplements you take, particularly anything that may affect bruising or bleeding. Do not stop prescribed medication without first speaking to your prescribing doctor or pharmacist. Avoid anti-inflammatories on the day, such as ibuprofen, fish oil and turmeric.

Yes. Skin appointments such as SKNBAR, facials, peels and skin needling can be booked online.
For cosmetic medicine, please book a consultation first. Once you have been assessed and are suitable for treatment, your appointment can be arranged.

Skin needling is generally well tolerated. Most clients describe it as feeling a little scratchy at times, although everyone’s experience is different.
You may have some redness in the treated area afterwards, which often settles over the following hours. Your aftercare will focus on gentle cleansing, avoiding active products and keeping your skin hydrated for the next few days.
Your individual downtime and aftercare will always be discussed before treatment.
